This Laboy chromatography column is designed for very large-scale flash chromatography and preparative separations that require a deep bed and large solvent capacity. It features a heavy-wall borosilicate 3.3 glass column with an outer diameter of about 60 mm and an effective bed length of approximately 457 mm, combined with a 1000 mL reservoir at the top. This configuration provides an exceptional packing volume suitable for demanding preparative work and large sample loads. The integrated reservoir simplifies solvent and sample loading for long, continuous runs. A chemically resistant PTFE stopcock at the outlet provides smooth, precise control of solvent flow, and all wetted surfaces are PTFE and borosilicate glass for compatibility with most chromatography solvents. The column is intended for gravity or low-pressure flash chromatography under modest positive air or nitrogen pressure; it must be clamped securely to a sturdy support stand and used in a fume hood behind a suitable safety shield. Stand, clamps, adapters and chromatography media are not included.
